ABOUT THE TEAM The Software Platform Foundations team at Anduril is dedicated to building the foundational systems that empower our engineering teams to develop, test, and deploy cutting-edge defense technology with unparalleled efficiency and reliability. We design and implement sophisticated automated systems that enhance efficiency, reduce manual labor, and optimize critical processes and control systems across our software development lifecycle and production pipelines. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, traceability, and rapid deployment of our software solutions, directly contributing to our mission of delivering advanced autonomous systems. ABOUT THE ROLE Ensuring we deliver high quality, trustable products is table stakes. Every regression you catch, every manual test you automate away, every closed loop you implement to flag and fix issues has material impact on Engineering's ability to build awesome products fast. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will work within a complex ecosystem (multi-stage release pipelines, Cloud and Robot environments, etc...) where engineering decisions have concrete, measurable consequences and correctness matters. This is how Lattice gets to customers safely, how operators trust the platform in the field - and how every SWP team ships without breaking the teams next to them. This role (and this team), is what makes that possible at scale. This role is open to engineers who want to get their hands on every part of the quality stack - from authoring and executing test plans (yes, including manual testing where it's the right tool for the job), converting those manual suites into automation that runs green in CI, onboarding SWP services onto our Integrated Continuous Release (ICR) pipeline, and building out the dashboards that make our release readiness reviews data-driven. You'll work with seasoned by a Staff and a Senior engineers who are invested driving quality, and in your career growth. As part of the team, you'll see the direct impact of your work on every Lattice release that ships. WHAT YOU’LL DO Author and execute test plans against the active Lattice release branch — manual where it's the right tool, automated as soon as it can be — and maintain them as products evolve. Help build and extend the automated systems for development, verification, and release that uphold our quality bar for every SWP service and product offering Help develop and maintain the reference environments that Lattice workflows are verified in ahead of every release, keeping them available, representative, and trustable. Build and maintain comprehensive, representative test environments (Cloud, Robot, NixOS VM) and help teams debug how their software behaves inside them. Implement software interfaces, keyword libraries, and product hooks that make seamless, end-to-end testing across complex systems possible. Maintain and improve our integration of regression and performance testing into CI/CD pipelines, enforcing baselines so regressions are caught before they reach customers.
