Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM The Maritime Manufacturing Technology team is responsible for rapidly developing and implementing manufacturing technologies and processes for cutting-edge defense hardware, including deployable static and moving surface, undersea and sea to air vehicles and scaling these products in our new manufacturing facilities. ABOUT THE JOB As a Hydraulic Assembly Technician, you'll build up the hydraulic assemblies that open or actuate doors, operate valves, and drive launch mechanisms, systems that run at 3,000+ PSI with zero tolerance for leakage or contamination. Your work spans precision assembly of cylinders, actuators, valve manifolds, hydraulic power units (HPUs), and accumulator banks. Every assembly you build will be proof-tested and inspected to naval or program standards before it leaves your bench. WHAT YOU’LL DO Assemble hydraulic cylinders, actuators, servo valves, manifold blocks, HPUs, and accumulator banks per engineering drawings and work instructions. Install seals, O-rings, backup rings, and dynamic sealing elements using proper lubrication, orientation, and stretch/compression specs. Fit, lap, hone, and scrape mating surfaces to achieve required surface finishes and seal-face flatness. Torque fasteners to spec using calibrated hand tools and hydraulic torque equipment. Assemble and plumb hydraulic tubing, fittings, and flex hoses within self-contained subassemblies. Perform hydrostatic proof-pressure and leak testing on completed assemblies. Conduct pneumatic (air) testing where required by procedure. Perform functional testing: stroke cylinders, cycle valves, verify actuator response and speed. Document test results, pressures, leak rates, and cycle counts per quality requirements. Identify and troubleshoot failures: disassemble, diagnose root cause, replace components, and re-test. Complete hardcopy and electronic documentation: assembly travelers, inspection records, material traceability, torque logs. Maintain compliance with SUBSAFE, SOC, and Level I requirements as applicable to submarine hydraulic systems. Support customer and government inspections of completed assemblies. Identify non-conformances and process through proper disposition channels. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED. 5+ years of hydraulic assembly, hydraulic maintenance, or precision mechanical assembly experience. Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings, hydraulic schematics, and detail drawings. Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators). Proficiency installing hydraulic seals, O-rings, and dynamic sealing elements. Experience with torque-controlled fastener installation. Familiarity with hydrostatic and pneumatic test procedures. Willing to work any shift and overtime as production requires. Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities. Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with SUBSAFE, SOC, or Level I controlled hydraulic assemblies. Military shipbuilding, submarine, or naval shipyard experience. Experience with cleanliness-controlled assembly (NAS 1638, ISO 4406, or equivalent). Background in aerospace,
