What we're building The marine industry supports recreation, global commerce, and national defense. And yet it runs on technology that hasn't meaningfully changed in fifty years. Until now. Arc is on a mission to electrify the marine industry. We're rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs from first principles. And we're already executing. We started with consumers to develop and harden our core technology. We're now scaling production of our flagship model with new models and sectors on the horizon. Now we're extending our platform to commercial applications, starting with tugs, ferries, and defense, with years worth of signed contracts and a pipeline that spans every vessel type on the water. The technology is proven, the momentum is building, and the opportunity is enormous. The marine industry is going electric and Arc is building the platform that powers it. Who we're looking for We're looking for someone fired up by the mission and ready to build. You'll thrive here if you move fast, take ownership, and care about the details. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Los Angeles headquarters, working first shift (6AM~3PM) with the opportunity for overtime and weekend work. You'll report to the Manager of Quality Engineering and work closely with a lean, high-trust team where everyone’s work matters. What you'll do Performing detailed visual and dimensional inspections of composite (carbon & fiberglass) structures, metallic components, integrated boats and sub-assemblies. Conducting First Article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure adherence to engineering drawings and quality standards. Documenting inspection results and non-conformances quickly & accurately in the quality management system. Collaborating with the production and engineering teams to identify root causes of defects and implementing corrective actions. Verifying that all work instructions and documentation are completed correctly before releasing parts to the next stage of production. Contributing to improving workshop standards, inspection protocols, and quality processes. Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and output. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector or in a comparable quality control role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators. Hands-on experience inspecting composite materials, including carbon fiber and fiberglass structures, in a production or manufacturing setting. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), work instructions, and product data sheets. Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to identify cosmetic and structural defects in composite surfaces and assembled components. Physical ability to stand extended periods (6-10 hours per day) and lift or move materials up to 50lbs. Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to document and communicate quality issues to technicians and engineers.
