CNC Eastman and Operator – Composites Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Program, set up, and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills (and routers) to kitand airbrush fiberglass & foam cores - Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360), and CAM files (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion, or NX) to produce accurate components to spec. - Collaborate with mechanical engineers, composites technicians, and systems integrators to ensure fit, function, and manufacturability of parts. - Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and fixturing strategies for high-accuracy work on composite materials. - Maintain CNC equipment, tools, and workspaces in a clean and safe condition. - Perform in-process quality checks and post-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. - Contribute to ongoing process improvements in CNC workflows, fixture design, and composite part accuracy.
