What you’ll do Together with the Fermentation team you will drive the optimization and upscaling of our CO2-to-chemical process. Your work will be pivotal in making our process the go-to technology for green chemical manufacturing. Responsibilities Running continuous gas fermentation processes at laboratory scale Formulating strategies for optimizing and upscaling the process from lab-scale to commercial scale Improving the understanding of the process by statistical-enabled experimental design and data analysis Coordinating collaborations with the other teams, contract research organizations, and project partners Processing, reporting, and presenting results Developing standard operating procedures Providing guidance and coaching to interns and operators Contributing to patent filing Job Requirements About you Minimum Requirements Hands-on experience with gas fermentation 3-6 years of experience in fermentation Practical experience with microbial cultivation and fermentation Relevant education (PhD degree or MSc with subsequent work experience) in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology or a related field Proven ability in interpreting scientific data Solid understanding of statistics Getting-things-done attitude An open-mind and positive attitude to achieve results as a team Preferred Requirements Expertise with scale-up of fermentation processes Experience with cultivation of non-standard microorganisms Understanding of microbial physiology and metabolism A knack for meaningful data visualization Experience with (online) gas analysis What we promise you: You get to work with a group of passionate scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs working on challenging and meaningful projects This will be the journey of a lifetime – we are pioneering a new era of industrial manufacturing using biotech to make clean and resilient supply chains, and you can play a pivotal role in making that happen We live by our company values: Relentless Grit, Unreasonably Ambitious, Unconventional Thinking, Critical Urgency An engaging, empowering and ambitious work environment We understand that relocating can be a hassle, so if you don't live in Denmark, we will help out to give you a smooth transition If you have questions regarding the role, we would love to hear from you.
