About Blitzy Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based AI software development platform on a mission to revolutionize the software development life cycle by autonomously building custom software to unlock the next industrial revolution. We’re transforming how enterprises build software, turning enterprise requirements into production-ready code with an agentic software development platform that can autonomously execute 80% of the quantum of software development work. We’re backed by multiple tier 1 investors, and have proven success as founders of previous start-ups. Location: Cambridge, MA & Burlington, MA (On-site) Compensation: $180,000 – $220,000 USD per year The Role We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Designer to work on-site with our enterprise customers and help them revolutionize how they design and build software. You’ll be embedded with customers three days per week — creating production-ready designs, prototyping new workflows using Blitzy, and partnering shoulder-to-shoulder with their design, product, and engineering teams to deliver transformative user experiences. You’ll translate complex enterprise requirements into intuitive interfaces, participate in sprint planning and design reviews, and rapidly prototype high-value use cases. Success means becoming a trusted advisor to product leaders through hands-on design expertise — and evangelizing Blitzy across the enterprise to shape the future of AI-powered software development. This role requires fluency in modern design tools (Figma), a strong understanding of enterprise software workflows, experience with AI/LLM tools and prompting, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships. What Success Looks Like - You are embedded with customer teams as a trusted design co-pilot, participating in their daily product rhythm alongside leadership. - You rapidly prototype use cases and translate complex enterprise requirements into clear, intuitive interfaces that are ready for autonomous code generation. - You develop a deep understanding of how to design specifically for Blitzy — knowing what to specify in detail, what to leave to the platform, and how to structure handoffs for high execution quality. - You become a go-to advisor for customer product leaders, shaping design decisions and elevating their team’s capabilities. - You evangelize the Blitzy platform across enterprise organizations and train design teams on how to best leverage it. - You contribute field insights that influence Blitzy’s internal product direction and roadmap. - You maintain consistency and craft across product surfaces while moving at speed without sacrificing quality. Areas of Ownership - Customer Partnership: Embed with customer teams during critical implementations, serving as their design co-pilot. Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and guide design decision-making at the leadership level. - Core Product Design: Translate product requirements and concepts into wireframes, detailed UI designs, and interaction specifications. Work through edge cases, error states, and the full spectrum of user scenarios. - Design Execution: Work closely with the Founding Designer to master designing for autonomous code generation. Create clear, Blitzy-ready design specs with the right level of detail for high-quality platform output. - Platform Evangelism: Train and enable customer design teams on how to best leverage the Blitzy platform, expanding adoption and deepening enterprise relationships. Required Experience - 5+ years of professional product design experience. - Strong portfolio demonstrating depth of thinking through case studies — not just final visuals. - Rigorous interaction design skills: you think through flows, states, and edge cases systematically. - Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex design concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders. - Strong visual and UI craft — typography, spacing, hierarchy, and consistency. - Expert Figma proficiency includin
