Chainguard is the trusted source for open source. By delivering hardened, secure, and production-ready builds of all the open source software engineers and AI agents rely on, Chainguard helps organizations build faster, stay compliant, and eliminate risk. Our customers include Fortune 500 enterprises and global industry leaders, including Anduril, Canva, Fortinet, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, OpenAI, Snap Inc., and Snowflake. Chainguard is venture-backed by leading investors, including Amplify, IVP, Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Mantis VC, Redpoint Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Spark Capital. Senior PM, Chainguard Repository The role, in a nutshell: Chainguard is building the most trusted source for open source software, and Chainguard Repository is at the center of that mission. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the product strategy and execution for Chainguard's Unified Repository — a single, trusted repository where developers and enterprises can access all Chainguard artifacts across libraries, containers, APKs, and more. This is a high-impact, zero-to-one opportunity. You'll be shaping a product that sits at the intersection of developer experience, supply chain security, and platform growth, at a moment when the market is actively consolidating around exactly what we're building. What you’ll own: Product strategy & sequencing. Define and drive the roadmap for the Unified Repository across a rapidly expanding artifact scope. Make deliberate sequencing calls that balance enterprise requirements, developer adoption, and platform scale. Own the milestone framework from initial launch through enterprise GA. Developer experience & PLG. Build a product-led growth motion that earns developer adoption early and converts to paid over time. Design free, pay-as-you-go, and enterprise tiers so top-of-funnel activation is high and upgrade paths feel natural. Sweat onboarding, habitual usage, and every point of friction. Cross-functional leadership . Partner with Engineering, Experience, and GTM to move fast without breaking trust. Drive resolution on the hard questions — and pull the right people in at the right time. GTM readiness . Ship the features enterprise customers need to adopt Chainguard with confidence. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with GTM and prioritize against real market urgency, not internal preference. What We're Looking For: 5+ years of PM experience, with a track record in developer tools, infrastructure, or security Shipped PLG or developer-facing products with both free and enterprise tiers Working knowledge of the software supply chain — package managers, registries, artifact management, OSS distribution Comfortable with ambiguity; can make sequencing calls and defend them Strong cross-functional operator who can align engineering, design, sales, and legal around one roadmap Zero-to-one experience with real customer discovery and iterative validation Technical credibility — you don't need to write code, but you can hold your own with engineers on infrastructure, security, and developer tooling Nice to haves Hands-on experience with a major package ecosystem (npm, PyPI, Maven, Go, etc.) Background in security, compliance, or enterprise platform products Prior work on registries, artifact stores, or developer onboarding flows Familiarity with usage-based / consumption pricing models Explore Our Work Dive into the practical side of what we do at Chainguard. These resources provide a hands-on look at our processes and offer an opportunity for in-depth understanding of our product offerings and the technology behind them.
