About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Strategic Sourcing Specialist II to join our dynamic team. This critical role will directly support the successful execution of our innovative data center sites, power generation projects, innovation projects, and corporate teams. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a vital role in sourcing and securing the necessary materials, equipment, and services for our field operations. Your expertise in procurement and contract management will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of critical project components, ultimately contributing to the company's success in mitigating environmental impact and driving the energy transition. What You'll Be Working On: - Supplier Engagement: Request quotes for major equipment and services from suppliers, ensuring an ethical and timely sourcing process for our projects. - Proposal Evaluation: Prepare bid summaries to evaluate commercial proposals and provide award recommendations. - Supplier Identification: Locate, pre-qualify, or promote potential new suppliers for services or sources of supply. - Contract Negotiation: Negotiate, execute, and facilitate a variety of agreements, including, Master Service Agreements, Master Purchase Agreements, Consulting Agreements, EPC contracts, and more. - Contract Management: Oversee and manage the execution of all contracts for your stakeholders - Contract Redlining / Drafting: Reviewing and negotiating contracts through direct redlining, drafting, and word-smithing - Supplier Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., Project Managers, Engineers, Legal) and external suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. - Project Status Updates: Communicate project progress and any potential challenges to relevant stakeholders. What You’ll Bring to the Team: - Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience - Experience: 3+ years of experience in direct procurement roles, such as Buyer, Capital Project Procurement, or Category Manager. This outlines the minimum years of relevant professional experience required in procurement. - Contract Redlining: Experience in direct redlining of terms and conditions in Evergreen contracts. This indicates experience in wordsmithing commercial redlines into a contract and in depth understanding of counter arguments. - In-person Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills. This emphasizes the importance of effective interaction and deal-making abilities. - Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
