ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Solution Engineer to join our Commercial org at Pleo. In this role, you'll help articulate the value of our solution and be part of the pre-sales team as we scale Solutions at Pleo. If you're excited about driving sales success by providing technical and accounting expertise and are passionate about B2B SaaS and optimising financial workflows, then this is the opportunity for you! WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH AND REPORTING TO You’ll report to our Solutions Manager and work closely with teams in Commercial. Our team of 3 is highly collaborative, dedicated to accelerating the sales cycle and ensuring continuous product improvement. You’ll also have the chance to partner with teams across GTM & Product to ensure success. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING As a Pleo Pre-sales Solution Engineer, you will: - Conduct generic or tailored product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops. - Develop and deliver technical proposals, RFPs, responses, trials, and Proof of concepts. - Understand customer objectives, technical environment, and accounting needs. - Provide feedback and insights to product and engineering teams. - Ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation or onboarding. WHAT YOU BRING You’ll thrive in this role if you have: - 3+ years of experience in a solutions or pre-sales role. - In-depth understanding of B2B SaaS products, APIs and relevant technologies, including configuration, integrations, and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with accounting principles & financial workflows. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think on your feet during customer interactions or changing requirements. - Excellent planning, prioritisation, and risk management abilities to handle multiple pre-sales engagements simultaneously. - A background in demonstrated success in customer-facing roles and relationship-building skills, with a customer-centric mindset. This role is not a good fit for you if: - You prefer a purely technical or purely accounting role over a mixed customer-facing pre-sales role. - You do not enjoy the constant customer-facing element and the pressure of sales cycle acceleration. - You prefer working in isolation over a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.
