As a category-defining SaaS company operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Technical Accounting & Reporting to lead complex accounting initiatives, support scalable growth, and help strengthen our financial reporting infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting leader who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex business challenges, and can influence cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance. What You’ll Do Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on technical accounting matters, providing proactive guidance on complex transactions, new business initiatives, and evolving accounting standards. Lead the research, evaluation, and documentation of technical accounting conclusions under US GAAP, including preparation of clear and concise technical accounting memos. Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Corporate Development, FP&A, Tax, and external auditors to assess accounting implications of strategic transactions and operational changes. Support the company’s financial reporting and disclosure requirements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and international Statutory financial reporting, SEC regulations, and internal control standards. Drive accounting assessments related to strategic initiatives, commercial arrangements, acquisitions, financing transactions, and other non-routine activities. Monitor emerging FASB and SEC guidance, evaluate potential impacts to the business, and lead implementation of new accounting standards where applicable. Help scale and optimize technical accounting and reporting processes to support the company’s continued growth and operational maturity. Influence and mentor members of the accounting organization while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by translating complex accounting matters into practical business insights and recommendations. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a top-tier university or equivalent experience. Active CPA license or equivalent professional certification. 12+ years of combined public accounting and/or industry experience, including significant exposure to high-growth technology or SaaS environments. 6+ years of deep technical accounting experience with strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including, but not limited to, ASC 606 and Stock-Based Compensation.
