POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the General Ledger (GL), performing month-end close activities, and preparing financial reports. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, strong analytical skills, and proactive communication across English- and Spanish-speaking teams. Beyond core accounting expertise, this role is ideal for someone who is genuinely excited about using AI and automation to improve financial workflows — whether that means building smarter reconciliation processes, automating routine reporting, or finding new ways to surface insights faster. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Reporting & Close Perform full-cycle accounting including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities. Prepare financial statements and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership. Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and automate close processes using AI tools. Journal Entries & Reconciliations Prepare and review complex journal entries and perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. Leverage automation and AI-assisted workflows to improve accuracy and speed of reconciliation cycles. Accounts Payable / Receivable Oversee high-volume AP/AR, ensure accurate vendor payments, and manage invoicing. Compliance & Tax Ensure compliance with GAAP and assist with tax filings (1099s, CA tax regulations). Maintain internal control procedures and coordinate with external auditors.
