Forward Deployed Engineer

FORWARD DEPLOYED ENGINEER, (F/M/X) GERMANY - HYBRID What you will do This is not a traditional product engineering position, you’ll partner directly with enterprise teams to understand critical workflows, design AI-driven solutions & build/fine tune agents that perform real tasks in production. This is a hands on generalist role for software engineers who enjoy problem solving, responsibility, and seeing the real-world impact of what they build. No two days will look the same and every client’s tech landscape will offer different challenges for you to overcome. - Work directly with customers to understand operational challenges and success criteria - Translate open-ended problems into clear technical designs and implementations - Own delivery of the Wonderful platform and guide clients on best practice - Build AI agents that integrate with customer systems, data sources, and APIs - Conduct ad hoc workshops with client teams - Write production quality code to support integrations, logic, and workflows - Own deployments, including reliability, performance, and continuous improvement - Test with real data, measure outcomes, and iterate quickly - Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to improve the platform - Contribute to tools, documentation, and delivery practices that help us scale Why should you - You’ll be part of what is tipped as the fastest growing startup in Europe - Work on a cutting edge agentic solution, the hottest topic in enterprise right now - You’ll join a team of high agency builders coming from the best tech companies out there - Global company, local team, you’ll be part of the founding team in Germany - Never boring, you’ll be solving problems for and with the biggest enterprises in Germany - A mix of home office and travel to clients in Germany (No more cabin fever) - Great salary and early stage share options Who you are - Several years of professional software engineering experience - Experience building and scaling end to end production systems - Experience integrating platforms into customer environments using APIs, cloud infrastructure, MCP, and production data flows - Strong technical problem-solving skills - You’re comfortable working directly with customers and owning ambiguous problems - Clear communication skills and a strong ownership mindset - Interest in building AI-powered systems that work in practice - You speak German to a minimum C1 level (You must be comfortable communicating with clients in German) Nice to have - Experience in forward deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing roles - Exposure to AI agents, automation, or conversational systems - You’ve been part of a fast growing start up and enjoy the pace - Familiarity with cloud environments - Experience with TypeScript, Go or Python If this sounds like the kind of work you want to do, we should talk.
