Role: We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Shared Platform Services team. This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore, reporting to the Director of Engineering. You will be working on the Zscaler Client Connector team to protect corporate devices by securely and privately sending traffic to Zscaler’s global network, where advanced web filtering and Zero Trust policies are applied. What you’ll do (Role Expectations) Predominantly use C++ and platform-native languages and APIs to design and development of smart and breakthrough solutions for secure internet/enterprise connectivity and endpoint security client on variety of desktop and mobile platforms: Windows Improve code quality and build solid, testable, and well-documented foundations Write and execute dev test routines for your modules Who You Are (Success Profile) You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable building the path as you walk it, seeing uncertainty as the raw material to build something meaningful. What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 10+ years software engineering experience, with emphasis on Microsoft Windows Excellent with C++ AND C# technologies, Python, Query language Experience in leading, architecting, designing, and debugging complex networking features on Windows Experience Windows desktop application development Knowledge on tools like Visual Studio, WinDBG, Wireshark, fiddler Exposure to networking domain and proxies is an added advantage Experience in network security products and authentication systems like IDP, LDAP, SAML, OKTA What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Hands on Windows Networking programming experience with NDIS or LWF Understanding of Layer 3 and higher networking technologies - IP/TCP/HTTP/SSL protocols.
