Role Summary We’re looking for a Senior People Operations Generalist to support the Head of People & Talent in building Amperesand’s People function from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and supporting employees through meaningful, hands-on work. You’ll own key programs - from onboarding to offboarding, leaves, compliance, HR systems, and benefits - while driving process improvements that help Amperesand scale efficiently and thoughtfully. Responsibilities Employee Support & Experience Lead onboarding for new hires and improve our onboarding process - helping employees feel welcomed, informed, and connected from day one. Support offboarding and gather insights that help us continuously improve. Respond to employee questions with clarity, care, and follow-through. Partner Across Teams: Collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and Talent to ensure accurate data flow and smooth handoffs for all employee changes. HR Operations Own and maintain accurate employee records and HR systems. Manage benefits and leave programs. Prepare payroll-related information and maintain data accuracy. Ensure we meet compliance requirements as we scale. Assist in building handbooks, policies, and internal documentation current and easy to understand. Programs & Process Building Support the development of performance reviews, goal setting, and employee feedback efforts. Help roll out engagement and development programs that strengthen our growing team. Spot opportunities to simplify or improve HR processes—and build solutions that scale. Contribute to a People function that is reliable, approachable, and easy to work with. Qualifications 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in a fast-growing start-up environment. Working knowledge of US employment laws and standard HR practices. Strong communication skills, high integrity, and solid judgment.
