The Farmer’s Dog Veterinary Student Ambassador Program About The Farmer’s Dog: The Farmer’s Dog (TFD) is on a mission to make dogs healthier and happier by feeding them freshly prepared food, designed for long term health. Formulated by boarded veterinary nutritionists from day one, we value the veterinary profession and seek to partner with the veterinary community to advance the conversation around evidence-based nutrition and elevate the standard of care for pets everywhere. Student Ambassador Program Overview: The Farmer’s Dog is seeking motivated second- or third-year veterinary students to serve as Student Ambassadors. The Farmer’s Dog Student Ambassador Program offers second-or-third year veterinary students enrolled in AVMA -accredited veterinary programs the opportunity to build leadership skills, connect with industry experts, and represent TFD within their academic communities. Ambassadors participate in on-campus activities within their respective academic communities, support education around evidence-based nutrition, and provide feedback that help inform TFD’s initiatives. In this role, students act as peer leaders and mentors, serving as a trusted resource for classmates about TFD products and services while advancing pet care through thoughtful conversations about canine nutrition. How You’ll Be Making an Impact Act as a mentor and peer resource to your student community by representing TFD professionally and in alignment with TFD’s mission and values. Identify and participate in campus events, student organization meetings, and informational discussions related to veterinary nutrition. Organize or assist with on-campus educational events in consultation with TFD. Share non-confidential feedback and insights from your student community to help TFD support the next generation of veterinarians. What makes you a great fit? Second or third year veterinary student in good academic standing. Currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary program. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated leadership and initiative through student organizations or professional roles. A proactive, self-starter, who is capable of working independently with limited supervision. Enthusiasm for veterinary nutrition and advancing pet health. Ability to commit to the position for one school year, with an option to renew. What We Offer: $1,000 flat-rate payment per semester Leadership opportunities and career development support from TFD veterinarians and industry leaders. Potential optional opportunities for travel to conferences, or other TFD held events.
