About Corintis Corintis offers innovative microfluidic cooling technologies for AI chips/GPUs and CPUs used in data centres. Working with many of the world’s largest tech companies, our solutions improve compute sustainability and tackle the excessive electricity consumption associated with data centre cooling, which consumes more electricity than New York and London combined. Ranked as the No.1 Engineering startup in Switzerland for 2025, Corintis offers a friendly and team-oriented workplace, bringing together over 85 people from over 35 nationalities to solve the most significant computing challenges of tomorrow. Based in the EPFL Campus in St. Sulpice, we are closely connected to the local ecosystem and are located a few minutes walk from Lake Geneva. Job Description: Seeking a motivated computational engineer specialized in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT), who likes scientific code development, can work independently and demonstrate resourcefulness. Proactive candidates with prior experience in CAD manipulation and HPC are preferred. The role requires a highly independent approach to performing explorative investigations into novel cooling solutions. Key responsibilities involve executing 2D/3D simulations and parametric optimizations using in-house and commercial software. The work bridges the gap between research and application, supporting the creation of new, customer-driven features in the in-house computational suite. Responsibilities : Develop customer-driven features in our CFD software using programming languages, with particular focus on Python. Build and deploy AI-powered tools and scripts to automate complex thermal design tasks and support the rapid prototyping of next-generation cooling solutions. Conduct CHT simulations and optimizations for customer projects. Support internal projects to maximize the value we bring to the customers. Work collaboratively with our team of application engineers and scientists to troubleshoot technical issues in our software. Develop technical documentation for new and existing features. Present complex research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Requirements : Strong academic background in numerical analysis, computational engineering/science or equivalent education. Experience with CFD simulations, preferably CHT. Familiarity with CAD software commonly used in simulation workflows, such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc. Experience with programming languages, with focus on Python. Comfortable with standard software development practices: version control, continuous integration, code review, etc. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Capable of organizing own work with minimal supervision. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent in English. Preferred : Familiarity with at least one simulation software package (OpenFOAM, Ansys, etc). Familiarity with open source finite element software such as FEniCS, firedrake. Familiarity with at least one meshing software such as Gmsh, ANSYS Meshing, Pointwise, snappyHexMesh, etc. What we offer: Start date: Immediately Contract: Paid Internship 6 months Activity rate: 100% Salary: 2,500 CHF gross per month Location: On-site in Lausanne
