ROLE OVERVIEW StoryCo is looking for a highly Story/Creative Producer to join our globally distributed team. In this role, you will lead creative efforts across audio, video, and art to transform existing web comics into engaging video/motion comics using the StoryCo platform. You’ll be responsible for setting the creative direction of each adaptation while ensuring the integrity of the original work is preserved in its new multimedia format. This position is ideal for a storyteller with strong project management skills - someone who thrives on collaboration, can guide multiple creative teams, and delivers high-quality work on schedule. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Own the Creative Vision: Define and lead the overall creative approach for adapting globally celebrated comics into animated videos-setting direction across visuals, audio, pacing, and casting across StoryCo’s projects. - Lead a Multidisciplinary Team: Manage a cross-functional team of 5-7 art editors, animators, and sound designers. Align their contributions with the creative vision while ensuring projects stay on track and meet high-quality standards. - Drive Execution & Project Management: Own timelines, team planning, and workload management. You’re responsible for your team’s quarterly output-delivering outstanding creative work, on time, every time. - Direct Voice & Audio Integration: Select the best voice actor’s recordings from StoryCo’s casting platform and time them precisely to build pacing guidelines for the animation team. - Build Scalable Creative Systems: Design and refine production processes that improve speed, clarity, and quality across all multimedia adaptations, collaborating with both the production team and tech teams to refine in-house tools and workflows. - Ensure Creative Excellence: Act as a quality gatekeeper - review all team output to maintain consistency in tone, pacing, and visual style, and continuously raise the creative bar across projects. JOB REQUIREMENTS CREATIVE VISIONARY - Strong storytelling instinct with a keen eye for visual composition, pacing, and narrative flow. - Deep understanding of how audio design, framing, panel layout, and voice casting influence emotional tone and final output. - Able to translate creative ideas into clear direction for editors, animators, and sound designers-rallying a team to execute a unified creative vision. - Passion for comics, Webtoons, anime, or visual storytelling-either as a dedicated fan or creative practitioner. CREATIVE OPERATIONS & TECHNOLOGY FLUENCY - Experience or familiarity with creative tools such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar. - Comfortable navigating and adapting to new creative platforms or production tools, especially those developed in-house. - Interested in creative innovation and improving production efficiency through technology. TEAM MANAGEMENT & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION - Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams. - Strong communicator-comfortable giving feedback, aligning teams, and collaborating across different disciplines. - Thrives in a collaborative environment; able to balance creative direction with technical and timeline constraints. EXECUTION, OWNERSHIP & GROWTH MINDSET - Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment. - Takes full ownership of projects, from creative kickoff to final delivery. - Open to feedback, with a constant drive to improve both personal craft and team processes. OTHER REQUIREMENTS - 2+ years of experience in production, creative agency, film-making or related creative field preferred. - Fluent in English, both written and spoken. - Bachelor’s degree in Directing, Production, Animation, Digital Media, Illustration, or a related creative field preferred.
