As an SDET 3 specialising in Backend testing, you will design and build scalable automation frameworks for API testing and microservices, ensuring that our backend services are stable and high-performing. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers to implement testing strategies that ensure robustness and reliability of the entire system. You will play a key role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our core platform, while also mentoring junior team members and driving continuous improvements in our testing processes. Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for APIs and microservices using RestAssured, Postman, GRPC libraries or similar tools. Design and implement specialized tests for machine learning models (ASR & NLP) to ensure their accuracy, performance, and robustness. Design and implement integration tests to validate data flow and service interactions within a microservices architecture, including complex interactions over gRPC and WebSocket protocols . Perform comprehensive non-functional testing, including performance and load testing, using tools like K6 to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance across backend services, gRPC communication, and WebSockets. Mentor junior team members, guiding them in test strategy development and debugging complex issues. Collaborate with DevOps and Backend Engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Write detailed test plans and test cases for new backend services, features, and machine learning models. Monitor API response times and error rates, using metrics to identify potential areas for improvement. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in backend test automation. Expertise in Java, Python, and API testing frameworks like RestAssured. Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, gRPC, WebSocket, and RESTful APIs.
