Now, let’s discuss this role and what you will do to help achieve Fever’s mission. Behind the user-friendly iOS and Android apps and webpage that work across the world is the engineering team. We are in charge of creating, developing, improving, and maintaining all Fever services so that more people can have an amazing experience. About the role What are we looking for: We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join Fever with outstanding software development talent proven by great work results/experience. Somebody that cares about code quality and not just get things done, but get things done right. What would you do at Fever? Define and drive long-term engineering vision and strategy in collaboration with other team members. Lead and execute large-scale engineering projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and technical excellence. Plan and implement architectural strategies to support future scalability and business needs. Coordinate and drive high-impact initiatives by working closely with multiple teams and stakeholders. Temporarily embed in product teams to solve complex architectural challenges and improve execution. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers at all levels, inspiring continuous improvement and innovation. Ensure best practices, code quality, and development efficiency through reviews and technical leadership. Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of engineering advancements. On your first month in Fever: You will get familiar with Fever’s tech stack, infrastructure and overall architecture. You will understand Fever’s business, long term vision and short term strategy You will attend several of the Fever Original’s experiences like Candlelight. After 3 months in Fever: You will be able to come up with solutions to new difficult problems, defining the solution from the architecture design to its implementation. You will continue creating production grade solutions to handle high levels of traffic and supporting future requirements, while keeping Fever’s stack at the top of industry standard for quality and efficiency. You will participate in some of the hackdays or hackathons we organise with other teams, and you will mostly know everybody from engineering and leadership. On your 6th month in Fever: You will have responsibilities over different parts of the systems, analysing the usage from the users and evolving the platform to meet the user’s needs. You will own the technical roadmap of part of our org and, through the help of others, bring that roadmap to reality. You will enable our architecture to support Fever’s growth You will mentor other senior team members through code reviews, sessions of architecture design and pair programming. You will participate in some of the team buildings we organise for your team or the whole engineering team.
