Meet the Team Secret Media Network is a digital media group focused on recommending perfect plans, discovering great places, sharing things to do and relevant breaking news in different cities around the world. The Role We are currently seeking a talented Digital Content Creator to join our Secret Tokyo team! As part of a dynamic and rapidly expanding startup environment, this role offers an exceptional opportunity for a video producer to showcase their skills to a large and highly engaged audience. We are seeking someone who can create engaging, original content about life, tips and trends in Tokyo for our platform. What You’ll Do Create engaging, original video content about life, culture, events, trends, and things to do in Tokyo for Secret Media Network's digital platforms. Cover events, attractions, openings, and breaking local stories across Tokyo. Lead the creation of social-first video content from ideation to publication, planning, filming, editing, and optimizing videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other emerging platforms. Monitor content performance and use insights to refine creative strategies and improve results. Appear on camera as a presenter when required, conducting interviews and creating audience-focused storytelling content. Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and audience behaviors to continuously optimize content performance. Collaborate closely with editorial, social media, and commercial teams to develop content that drives engagement and audience growth. Who You Are We're looking for someone who: Possesses native-level proficiency in written and spoken Japanese , with an fluent level of English . Has proven experience in working on professional-quality scripted and unscripted videos, supported by a showreel and portfolio of previous work (relevant social media links accepted as well). Holds a Bachelor’s degree or similar in Film, Design, Communication, or a related field. Demonstrates confidence in writing video script copy. Possesses social media content creation skills, ranging from TikTok and Instagram to YouTube . Has a keen interest in the latest trends in social media and digital video platforms. Can work independently, as well as within a team. Is willing to work outside office hours and meet tight deadlines when necessary (always within contractual duties and rights). Is passionate about Tokyo city life and the topics we cover. Exhibits an excellent understanding of digital media trends and knows what makes content shareable online. Is proactive, taking on tasks with a can-do attitude and seeing them through to completion. Comfortable appearing on camera. Preferred skills: Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, Capcut, Photoshop, and Media Encoder (After Effects is a plus). Co
