Position Overview This cross-functional position reports to the Director of Startup Experience and Events and is responsible for leading the project management and execution of Greentown Boston’s event strategy. In this highly collaborative role, the Sr. Events Manager works across multiple teams at Greentown Labs to develop high-quality programming that aligns with Greentown Labs’ organizational goals and strategic objectives, with a focus on bringing people together to act on climate. This person is able to work seamlessly with multiple stakeholder groups: colleagues, startups, corporate partners, industry leaders, executives, investors, and more, to offer a best-in-class event experience for all. The Sr. Events Manager must be incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and a team player with a knack for managing multiple projects simultaneously. What you'll do The Sr. Events Manager will focus on the following key objectives and priorities: Event and Programming Leadership Execute Greentown Boston’s event strategy and calendar, including development of programming themes, speaker outreach, session development, and strategic scheduling Partner with Leadership to align events, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities with organizational goals and priorities Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful coordination, promotion, and consistent quality of internal and external events across all Greentown locations Oversee event budgeting, revenue tracking, data management, and performance analysis to inform strategy and maximize impact Continuously improve event systems, processes, and internal communications to drive operational efficiency and cross-departmental transparency Third-Party Events and Event Sponsorship Lead third-party events, sponsorships, and paid tours, including pricing, positioning, collateral, contract development, and stakeholder management Manage the lifecycle of third-party event and sponsorship engagements, from inquiry management and opportunity vetting through execution and partner follow-up Collaborate with other departments to identify, cultivate, and secure strategic sponsorship opportunities Project Management + Execution Drive the planning, project management, and execution of Greentown Labs’ external events Lead event logistics before, during, and after events, including vendor coordination, catering, signage, space setup and breakdown, and onsite operations Oversee event operations and production workflows, including registration platforms, Zoom management, recordings, Q&A tracking, and related event systems Support internal teams and departments in the successful execution of their respective events Performs other duties as assigned.
