We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting operations in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment. This role will manage financial reporting, the month-end close process, internal controls, and compliance while leading and developing a high-performing accounting team. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting expertise and thrives in a dynamic, evolving regulatory landscape. Fintech or crypto experience is preferred but not required. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Financial Reporting & Close Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting. Oversee general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Technical Accounting Research and interpret accounting standards and apply them to complex transactions.. Develop accounting policies and ensure consistent application across the organization. Partner with external auditors on technical accounting matters and audit deliverables. Internal Controls & Compliance Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements. Support internal and external audit processes. Process Improvement & Systems Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies. Partner with Finance Systems and cross-functional teams to enhance ERP and reporting tools. Implement scalable accounting procedures to support business growth. Team Leadership Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff. Establish clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Operations teams. Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and new product launches. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS. Experience managing the month-end close and financial reporting processes. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Preferred CPA (or equivalent professional certification). Experience in fintech, crypto, or financial services industries preferred. Experience with multinational entities and multi-currency accounting. Internal controls and audit management experience.
