Layer Health was founded in 2023 by leading machine learning researchers from MIT and Harvard Medical School. We are building an AI layer that can accurately and scalably synthesize information from medical records, with the mission to reduce friction everywhere in healthcare. Our LLM-powered platform is solving chart review once and for all, across use cases. For health systems, our first product dramatically accelerates clinical registry abstraction in areas ranging from surgery and cardiology, to oncology. Our long term vision is for our AI layer to safely transform patient care and minimize unnecessary heartbreak. Layer Health’s diverse founding team brings expertise across machine learning, UI/UX, large language models, and medicine. Here’s a collection of articles about our product, mission, recent funding round, etc. We’re seeking an exceptional candidate to join our company as a part of the growing Clinical Informatics team. Together, we will create the AI layer that will redefine healthcare for the better. What you'll do: In collaboration with the Customer Success and Product teams, perform detailed workflow analysis at client hospitals to understand clinical workflows and help design AI-based interventions. Contribute to and help maintain an advanced interoperability layer, transforming FHIR, HL7, CCDA, and other common data standards to a common data layer. Contribute to the design and development of an advanced data layer that supports both machine learning R&D as well as real-time inference for embedded clinical applications. Use your strong clinical and informatics knowledge to participate in data modeling, harmonization, normalization, and transformation efforts. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams including engineering/research, customer success, and business to execute on the informatics vision and help invent the next iteration of human-AI collaboration in healthcare.
