As a Digital & Privacy Legal Analyst at Bitso, you will be a key player in building and scaling our global digital and privacy programme during a period of aggressive expansion and new product launches, while operating across Mexico, El Salvador, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Gibraltar, and other markets. You will work directly with authorities responding to Legal Enforcement Requests to fight against crime, globally. You will also work with Product, Data Science, Information Security, Engineering and Legal teams in other countries on cutting-edge issues like AI governance, cross-border data flows, and privacy-by-design for financial products learning how to advise them, and start your career to become the go-to LatAm privacy expert. Reports To Data Protection Officer and Deputy General Counsel, with strong collaboration with the Mexican legal team and regional teams in El Salvador, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Gibraltar. Who You Are You hold a law degree or are in the process of obtaining it You have had any working exposure whether in-house, at a law firm, or at a regulator You are interested in collaborating with authorities in the fight against crime, and in exposure to product, AI, privacy, crypto and financial innovation matters across LatAm You are proficient in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) and want to strengthen that ability in a professional context You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines across jurisdictions simultaneously You are a self-starter who thrives in remote-first, fast-paced environments and takes ownership of projects without needing close supervision What You Will Do Privacy & AI Compliance Support the day-to-day execution of Bitso's global AI and privacy compliance programme across Mexico, El Salvador, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Gibraltar Assist in advising Product, Information Security, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing teams on privacy-by-design, AI implementations and product design Monitor regulatory developments and update our compliance matrix accordingly Legal Enforcement & Data Subject Rights Respond to Legal Enforcement Requests to fight against crime globally Respond to data subject rights requests globally (ARCO rights), ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements in each jurisdiction Implement privacy tools to support rights management workflows Contracts & Documentation Draft, review, and assist in the negotiation of data processing agreements (DPAs) and privacy clauses with third-party vendors, partners, and business clients Assist in preparing and maintaining privacy notices and consent mechanisms in accordance with local laws (LFPDPPP, LGPD, Gibraltar GDPR, and others) Maintain and update PII inventories, data flow maps, and records of processing activities (ROPA) Product & Risk Advisory Assist in conducting and supporting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for new products, services, technologies, processes and M&A transactions Assist in advising on user experience flows Support incident response processes Support privacy due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and corporate projects Operations & Coordination Manage filings and updates to national data protection r
