TransferGo is a growing fintech scale-up on a mission to champion financial freedom with care. We strive to provide tailored, more affordable financial services that make people's hard-earned money go further. Now in our 14th year, with close to 400 employees in offices across Europe and the UK, we’re crafting a brilliant, relevant product that makes a difference in people's lives and the well-being of their families. We’ve come this far by building a talented, diverse workforce on a fair culture and our strong values. Having this strong team of employees, we can serve those who really need our product to make their lives better. Join us on our journey as a Head of FP&A to play a pivotal role in shaping how money is sent worldwide. You will work in a team of bright-minded individuals looking after strategic growth initiatives, financial forecasting, and M&A activities. You’ll also be expected to make TransferGo’s finance function genuinely AI-native — building forecasting, reporting and analysis workflows where AI agents do the heavy lifting and humans focus on judgement. If you want to significantly impact the fintech industry, drive data-informed decision-making, and collaborate with a team of forward-thinkers, we would love to have you on board. Here’s what you’ll be doing as Head of FP&A: Leading the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes Preparing and evaluating complex financial models and investment cases to support business decisions Analysing competitive landscapes to identify market trends, potential opportunities, and risks Developing financing strategies and supporting the CFO in capital raising initiatives Acting as a trusted advisor to the CFO and CEO on growth plans, risks, and opportunities Building and leading a high-performing FP&A team Establishing scalable tools and processes to improve financial reporting and decision-making Fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement Building AI-native forecasting automations — self-updating models, agent-driven variance analysis and scenario planning that replace manual spreadsheet work Deploying AI agents (e.g. Claude, internal tooling) to automate management reporting, board pack drafting and ad-hoc finance Q&A Partnering with Data and Engineering to embed AI tooling across the FP&A stack and own the roadmap for AI in finance Championing AI-first ways of working across the finance function — upskilling the team, setting guardrails and measuring productivity gains You’ll report to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) . Here’s what we’d love from our new Head of FP&A: Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or similar 5+ years’ experience in strategic planning or FP&A Strong technical finance skills and financial modelling expertise Experience in automating and streamlining financial reporting and management accounting — ideally using modern AI tooling (LLMs, agents, copilots) rather than only spreadsheet macros Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Hands-on experience adopting or building AI/LLM workflows in a finance, analytics or operations setting — you don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable prompting, evaluating and shipping AI-driven solutions And if you can also do this stuff, even better: Experience in fintech, payments or tech environments Familiarity with project finance, wider finance areas (e.g. accounting, FX) Working knowledge of SQL and BI tooling (Tableau, etc) with exposure to AI agent platforms Experience in high-growth, fast-paced companies Ability to build scalable financial infrastructure and tools Track record of replacing manual reporting with AI-driven, self-serve insights for the business Has shipped at least one AI agent or automation that meaningfully changed how a finance/analytics team works What we believe At TransferGo , we offer competitive rewards to all people. We know that recognition is about more than just money, and we’ve fostered a c
