About the Role The Bookkeeping Lead will be responsible for driving operational excellence, quality, and scalability across Heard’s bookkeeping function. This leader oversees the day-to-day performance and development of the bookkeeping team, including team members based in the Philippines who execute month-end close, payroll reconciliations, year-end adjustments, and onboarding bookkeeping for new customers. They ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial outcomes while maintaining strong quality standards. This role combines people leadership and systems leadership. Beyond managing output, the Bookkeeping Lead will strengthen processes, improve bookkeeping quality, and partner cross-functionally with Product, Support, and Tax to scale the function through increased automation and workflow optimization. The Bookkeeping Lead reports to the Director of Tax Operations and plays a critical role in advancing Heard’s long-term goal of building a highly efficient, automation-enabled bookkeeping engine.
