SUMMARY Department: Communications Supervisor: Chief Communications Officer FLSA Status: Exempt Union Position: Yes Cycle Position through 12/31/2026 EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, is searching for a Traveling Media and Content Coordinator to join our Communications team. The Traveling Media and Content Coordinator will drive real-time storytelling and media engagement on the ground, supporting the execution of strategic communications and digital content while traveling with the EMILYs List President. This role is central to capturing, producing, and amplifying compelling content across platforms while ensuring seamless coordination with press and communications efforts. Travel extensively with the principal or campaign to capture, produce, and publish real-time digital content, including social media posts, videos, captions, and rapid-response messaging; Identify and highlight key moments, quotes, and behind-the-scenes content to amplify messaging across digital and traditional channels; Coordinate media logistics and manage reporter engagement at events, ensuring seamless press operations; Collaborate closely with communications, digital, campaigns, and research teams to align content and messaging with strategic priorities; Monitor media and social coverage in real time, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks to inform communications strategy Support overall communications strategy by drafting and editing materials such as press advisories, releases, talking points, briefs, and messaging documents Maintain organized content libraries, track media performance, and contribute insights to improve messaging and outreach; Other duties as assigned 2–4 years of experience in digital, communications, campaigns, or media relations Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce clear, compelling content quickly Experience managing press logistics and working directly with reporters Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and travel-intensive environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and write quickly and in a compelling manner about multiple topics; Energetic ability to multi-task and manage projects in a fast-paced and changeable environment; willingness to invest multiple teams and stakeholders in communications efforts; Ability to use multiple mediums and approaches including new media to create multi-faced and effective campaigns; Ability to work independently and collaboratively; Willingness to work nontraditional hours, including nights and weekends; All candidates should possess commitment and passion to elect Democratic pro-choice Women, as well as a commitment to the diversity of our candidates, membership, partners, and staff. The salary for this position is $61,000 and comes with a comprehensive benefits package . The starting pay for this position is equal to others at the same level throughout the organization.
