Founded with the vision to electrify everything, Group14 is the leading commercial manufacturer of advanced silicon battery materials. Our breakthrough technology, SCC55®, is unlocking transformational performance for rechargeable batteries that power the world’s most critical innovations, from electric vehicles and AI-enabled electronics to eVTOLs and grid-scale energy storage. By enabling higher-density, faster-charging batteries, we are helping accelerate the global transition to an electrified future. Over the past year, Group14 reached major milestones that underscore our momentum. We closed a $463 million Series D round, bringing our total equity raised to more than $1 billion, and acquired full ownership of a battery materials factory in South Korea, strengthening global supply chains and scaling production to meet surging demand. Headquartered in Washington state with manufacturing operations worldwide, Group14 is backed by world-class investors and customers, including Porsche, ATL, Microsoft, and SK Inc. As we continue to grow, we are building a team united by passion for shaping the future of energy. As we scale production of SCC55 to meet surging global demand, we are looking for a Vice President, Quality to institutionalize precision at every level of our organization. This role offers the unique opportunity to design and lead a global quality organization from the ground up, ensuring that our innovative manufacturing processes yield consistent, world-class products whether manufactured in North America, Europe, or Asia. You will be the authoritative voice for quality at every level of the organization, transforming technical complexity into a competitive advantage for our automotive and electronics customers. Gatekeeper of Change Management: Rigorously uphold global Change Management standards; ensure that any customer-requested specification changes undergo a formal impact analysis regarding yield, cost, and process stability before approval. R&D to Production Bridge: Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to ensure "Design for Quality" (DfQ) and "Design for Manufacturability" (DfM), ensuring new silicon carbon formulations can transition smoothly from the lab to high-volume global production. Commercial Partnership : Support Business Development teams during the technical discovery and RFP phases; act as the technical authority on quality during high-level customer negotiations to build trust in our global consistency. Manufacturing Synchronization: Work closely with Global Operations to harmonize manufacturing processes (Control Plans, PFMEAs) across South Korea, Germany, and the US, ensuring a "Copy Exactly" philosophy so that a product shipped from any factory is indistinguishable to the customer. Global Quality Strategy: Design and deploy a unified global QMS that integrates ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards across all regional manufacturing sites. OEM Relationship Management: Act as the primary quality liaison for automotive OEMs. Lead the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new material launches. Cross-Regional Compliance: Ensure all products and processes comply with regional regulatory requirements in the EU, North America, and Asia. Supplier Quality Excellence: Oversee the qualification and auditing of raw material suppliers to ensure upstream consistency. Team Leadership : Build and mentor high-performing regional quality teams, fostering a culture of "Quality First" from the R&D lab through shipping to the customer.
