The role As a Senior Design Engineer, you will lead the creation of complete 3D and 2D design documentation, manage requirements, and oversee the integration of mechanical and electronic components. Your expertise will be crucial in developing robust, scalable, and cost-effective solutions, ensuring Helsing's technological superiority and upholding our mission to safeguard democratic values. The day-to-day Lead the mechanical design of current and future complex drone products, including the creation of complete 3D and 2D documents for parts and assemblies Ensure optimal integration of mechanical and electronic components using ECAD/MCAD tool capabilities Develop and implement relevant workflows to ensure traceability throughout the full product lifecycle Assess, cascade and define design requirements on all product levels and take care of full traceability throughout the V&V process Perform risk assessments as well as initiate and lead mitigation activities Take care of all design safety aspects and deliver comprehensive assessments (e.g. DFMEA, FHA) Ensure application of relevant standards for the design definition, materials, manufacturing and drawing generation Ensure design effectiveness regarding costs, scalability and robustness Create comprehensive design documentation and guidelines Strictly adhere to industry and quality standards You should apply if you Have professional working experience in the field of mechanical design of aerospace structures or similar applications Possess expert hands-on experience in using 3D/2D CAD and PLM tools, preferably with Solidworks/PDM or Siemens NX/Teamcenter; ECAD/MCAD knowledge appreciated Have strong knowledge of ASME/ISO drawing standards, mechanical design standards and analysis capabilities for mechanical elements Have experience in working with requirement management tools (a plus) Can prove ability to act as an interface to key customers, including managing technical assessments and negotiations Communicate excellently in English, both written and verbal Are keen on fast-track developments and realisations Enjoy working in a highly flexible environment Note: We operate in an industry where women, as well as other minority groups, are systematically under-represented.
