Mission Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear. In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives. Role Purpose This is a clinical role at the center of Neko's cardiology pathway. Every member who receives an abnormal cardiovascular finding from their Neko scan — including flagged EKGs, vascular assessments, and echocardiograms — will be reviewed, interpreted, and triaged by this clinician. You will determine whether findings can be reassured and discharged, monitored at the next annual scan, or require referral to a community cardiologist. You will not be managing ongoing cardiology care or initiating treatment for complex cardiovascular disease — those cases go directly to a community cardiologist. You will be the clinical authority on whether a finding is actionable, and the person responsible for ensuring the right members reach the right specialist without delay. What You'll Deliver in the First 6–12 Months - Every abnormal cardiovascular finding from Neko scans is reviewed, interpreted, and triaged with accuracy and speed — no member falls through the gap. - Clear, structured clinical documentation is in place for every encounter, fully compliant with applicable state and federal requirements. - Cardiology triage protocols are actively refined in collaboration with the Medical Innovation team, keeping pace with ACC/AHA guidelines and evolving US regulatory standards. - A community referral network is established and maintained — cardiologists, cardiac imaging centers, and electrophysiology services — across each market we operate in. Responsibilities Clinical — Cardiology Triage and Follow-Up - Review all abnormal cardiovascular findings from Neko scans, including 12-lead EKGs and echocardiograms. - Interpret findings and triage as: reassure and discharge, monitor at next annual scan, or refer to community cardiology. - Maintain accurate, structured clinical documentation for every encounter in compliance with applicable state and federal requirements. Governance and Quality - Ensure cardiology triage decisions are consistent with Neko's clinical protocols, current ACC/AHA guidelines, and applicable US regulatory standards. - Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of US cardiology triage protocols, working with the Medical Innovation team. Referral Network Development - Build and maintain relationships with community cardiologists, cardiac imaging centers, and electrophysiology services across markets. Minimum Requirements - MD or DO degree with completion of a cardiology fellowship from an ACGME-accredited program. - Board certification (or eligibility) in Cardiovascular Disease (ABIM) or a recognized cardiovascular subspecialty. - Current licensure to practice medicine in New York State, in good standing with the NYSED. - Demonstrated ability to independently interpret 12-lead EKGs, including identification of arrhythmias, conduction abnormalities, ischemic changes, and structural patterns. - Demonstrated ability to review and interpret echocardiograms. - Familiarity with ACC/AHA cardiovascular risk guidelines and their application to a preventive health population. Preferred - Experience in a high-volume outpatient cardiology, preventive cardiology, or cardiac imaging setting. - Familiarity with cardiovascular risk scoring tools. - Telehealth clinical experience. - Experience with AI-assisted EKG or imaging interpretation platforms. - Interest in or experience with health tech, preventive medicine, or direct-to-consumer healthcare mod
