About the Role Charlie Health leads the nation in high-acuity virtual behavioral care, having delivered life-saving treatment to more than 100,000 clients nationwide. Our Therapist Success team builds the platform that powers the care itself, helping therapists deliver consistent, high-quality treatment every day. You’ll create tools that give our therapists the right information at the right time. From organizing a client’s full care history to surfacing dynamic summaries and playbooks for each session, your work will help clinicians prepare, document, and make better decisions in real time. The systems you build will bring structure to complex clinical data, strengthen quality across our network, and ultimately make our care more effective. Responsibilities Develop and deliver high quality, performant, maintainable features that drive meaningful business value using our core technology stack: React, Python, and PostgreSQL Set strong patterns for our growing team to follow, supported by modern AI tools to develop quickly at scale Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of software engineers, driving the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Leverage AI and Machine Learning to enhance client and clinician-facing tools, transforming them into an industry-leading platform that empowers clients to take ownership of their mental health journey while driving measurable clinical outcomes. Be an owner. Collaborate with Product, Design, other stakeholders, and across Engineering to align and iterate to top notch product solutions Work on mission-critical features to engage potential clients and connect them with life-saving mental health care. Own and evolve engineering processes at the team level to align with org-wide practices. We’re early and the expectation of folks joining at this stage is that you’ll play a huge part in setting and improving how we work. Ensure our clients can always access the care they need by participating in our on-call rotation. Requirements At least 6 years of professional experience developing user facing web or mobile applications that deliver meaningful business value Expertise and hands on production experience with an application programming language, preferably Python Excellent at managing ambiguity. Masterful ability to break down big, messy problems (demanding requirements, bugs, etc) into smaller parts with tractable solutions and clear iterations Meaningful scope within an application engineering team. Experience making or contributing to important technical tradeoff decisions with cross team implications Experience developing high quality code leveraging modern AI tooling (ex: using Claude Code) Growth mindset and a sens
