About Expedock We are a tech-enabled workforce augmentation platform leveraging top 1% offshore talent & cutting edge technology to enable businesses to unlock their full potential. Who We Need As an Electrical Distribution Network Data Labeler / Mapping Specialist (Data Annotation) at Expedock, you will not be performing generic data entry or basic image annotation. Instead, you will act as a core technical analyst reviewing real-world street-level imagery to identify, classify, and digitally map critical power distribution assets. Working within our client's framework, you will ensure that the digital map mirrors the exact topological flow of the physical electrical network. Location: Remote Work Setup: Laptop/Desktop required with reliable internet (Not compatible with mobile devices). Project Timeline: High-velocity initiative with a strict delivery deadline. What You’ll Do Image-Based Asset Mapping: Systematically navigate assigned road networks via Street View imagery without skipping sections. Asset Classification: Analyze and correctly identify low-tension (LT) poles, high-tension (HT) poles, Distribution Transformer Centres (DTCs), and underground waypoints. Network Topology Building: Connect digitized assets sequentially in the precise order the physical electrical lines run to create an accurate, connected network map. Data Integrity Preservation: Protect existing client data by retaining preloaded source assets even when imagery is missing, unless explicitly instructed to delete them. Quality Assurance: Prioritize electrical accuracy over pure speed. Flag blurred images, telecom clutter, or ambiguous structures as "Low Confidence" rather than guessing. What You Need Ideal Professional Profile: Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Diploma Engineering, or equivalent technical fields. Professional experience as a GIS Surveyor, Line Supervisor, Field Technician, or Utility Mapper. Crucial Domain Knowledge: Direct exposure to electrical distribution networks—specifically understanding the visual, structural, and voltage differences between LT consumer-side networks (~0.4 kV), HT feeder networks (~11 kV), and DTC structures. Technical & Cognitive Skills: High comfort level navigating digital maps and multi-angle Street View workflows on a computer. Strong field judgment to distinguish electricity assets from telecom lines, service drops, or generic street clutter. High data-discipline; comfortable flagging uncertainty rather than making unverified guesses. Geographic & Utility Context Target Profile: We welcome global applicants with direct experience in urban or semi-urban electricity distribution networks. Prior familiarity with navigating complex street environments, utility clutter, and overhead/underground asset infrastructure is highly valued. International Applicants: This role is open to candidates worldwide who possess strong English communication skills and comparable utility-distribution exposure. Localization Requirement: Because construction practices and street layouts vary by region, all selected candidates must successfully pass a preliminary calibration assessment on localized street imagery before starting production work. Performance Standards To maintain the high standards required by our client, tasks will be sent back for rework if the following are detected: Guessing asset classes (LT vs. HT) or mislabeling telecom cables as LT lines. Silently skipping road sections or deleting pre-existing source assets. Leaving disconnected asset lines at zone boundaries. Why Expedock Health Stipend & Service Break Incentives: Access a dedicated health care subsidy/allowance and structured, paid service breaks after 3 months of successful collaboration. Supportive Remote Environment: Work from home alongside a collaborative team that values growth and mutual success. Autonomous Remote Collaboration: Enjoy the freedom of a work-from-home set up backed by a highly communicative operational team that va
