ABOUT THE COMPANY We are a stealth-mode battery startup developing cutting-edge battery technology. Our mission is to revolutionize battery technology to accelerate the global transition to clean energy. By leveraging innovative materials, advanced manufacturing techniques, and next-generation energy storage architectures, we are building the future of sustainable energy. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Lab Manager and cross-functional engineering teams by building, testing, and maintaining equipment, systems, and prototypes. You’ll take on hands-on technical work spanning prototype assembly, experimental test execution, troubleshooting, calibration, documentation, and general lab support. This is an on-the-floor role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, iterative development environment and enjoys solving practical problems with a “build it, test it, improve it” mindset. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: PROTOTYPING & BUILD SUPPORT • Build low-volume prototype assemblies across a broad range of product lifecycle milestones (early concepts through new product introduction). • Perform hands-on fabrication and integration (mechanical and electro-mechanical) to support engineering development and validation. • Rework or modify prototype components/systems to restore or improve functionality. TESTING & DEVELOPMENT • Conduct experiments and run test procedures; collect measurements and observations with attention to repeatability and safety. • Assist in refining/reworking test setups to streamline process implementation and/or improve data collection quality. • Troubleshoot test hardware, fixtures, and instrumentation; assist with root-cause investigations. Equipment Installation, Calibration & Maintenance • Set up, install, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment and systems. • Diagnose issues, perform repairs where appropriate, and coordinate with vendors when needed. • Maintain equipment readiness through preventative maintenance schedules and calibration records. DATA, DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING • Collect, organize, analyze, and compile test data; create lab reports and update logs/records. • Read and interpret drawings/blueprints; support inspection and quality-control checks. • Document build/test procedures, configurations, and results to ensure traceability and reproducibility. COLLABORATION & GENERAL LAB SUPPORT • Partner closely with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders (test, manufacturing, analysis) and occasionally external vendors/clients. • Support 5S / lab organization, continuous improvement activities, and flexible coverage across multiple projects and facilities as needed. • Cross-train with other technicians to increase team capability and equipment coverage. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Bending, stooping, reaching, and grasping; routinely move materials up to 50 lbs. • In this role, you will frequently climb ladders, operate foot/hand controls, and stand/walk for extended periods throughout the workday. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Associate’s degree or certificate in an engineering/technology discipline (or equivalent hands-on technical experience). • Strong hands-on technical ability in building, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems. • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and basic blueprint requirements; comfort using precision measurement tools. • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication/documentation habits. • Comfortable working in dynamic environment, and changing priorities with a flexible, collaborative attitude. WHY JOIN US? • Innovative Technology: Work on cutting-edge energy storage solutions that power the future. • Career Growth: Opportunities to work on high-impact projects and advance in a growing industry. • Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive health, wellness, and professional development programs. • Mission-Driven Culture: Be part of a team that is shaping the future
