You'll join the People team, whose mission it is to build a world-class employee experience, attract and retain top talent, ensure operational rigor across all HR processes, and support Akur8's ambitious international growth. You’ll report directly to the Chief People Officer. Your main responsibilities shall be to lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple geographies, manage and develop a team of two Payroll & HR Admin Officers, and you can expect to contribute to our continuing success by: - Ensuring payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across our 8 countries (France, USA, Canada, Japan, UK, Italy, Germany and Spain), supporting a fast-growing international team of 240+ employees ; - Building scalable, robust HR admin processes that keep pace with our international growth ; - Delivering a seamless employee experience through smooth onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day admin ; - In collaboration with our HR team, driving compliance with all employment and labor laws across the full employee lifecycle ; - Strengthening the partnership between the People and Finance teams through reliable data flows and reporting ; - Serving as the go-to expert and escalation point on all payroll and HR admin matters. As a Payroll & HR Admin Manager, your typical set of missions includes: Team Management - Manage, coach, and develop two direct reports: a Payroll & HR Admin Officer based in Paris and a Payroll & HR Admin Officer based in Montreal ; - Organize workload, set priorities, and ensure consistency of processes across the two offices ; - Act as the escalation point for complex or sensitive cases handled by the team. Payroll - Own and oversee end-to-end payroll operations for all entities: France (Payfit), USA (Justworks), Canada, Japan, Italy, Germany & UK (external accounting firm) ; - Review and validate payroll inputs ; - Ensure all social and statutory declarations are filed accurately and on time ; - Coordinate with external payroll providers, and benefits vendors across all geographies ; - Monitor payroll-related compliance and stay updated on changes in labor law and tax regulations across jurisdictions ; - Partner closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate payroll accounting entries and smooth budget monitoring.
