We are looking for a Frontend Engineer who can design and deliver complex solutions while providing technical leadership within their team. To learn more, please visit our website https://wayflyer.com/careers. 🚀 YOUR ROLE AT A GLANCE: THE KEY WAYS YOU'LL BRING VALUE TO THE TEAM - Lead the design and implementation of complex frontend features using TypeScript and React, ensuring high-quality, reusable components that scale across our financial products - Provide technical leadership in architectural decisions and establish best practices for frontend development - Partner with product and design teams to define and implement intuitive interfaces that help ecommerce brands access and manage their funding - Drive improvements in performance, accessibility, and user experience across our platform - Mentor junior developers and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high code quality standards - Collaborate with backend teams to design and implement robust API integrations - Lead technical discussions and contribute to the team's technical strategy - Identify and proactively address technical debt and system scalability challenges 🔨 WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience - 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with deep expertise in frontend development - Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and extensive experience with React and modern frontend architectures - Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript fundamentals with a focus on performance optimisation - Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and managing complex state - Solid understanding of Python and Django, with the ability to mentor others - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and maintaining high-quality testing practices - Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior developers - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems - Excellent communication abilities and experience managing stakeholder relationships What is important to point out is that you can do most or all of the above mentioned and can point to your real experience doing it.
