About the role We are looking for a Director of Operations to support and scale critical operational areas at Campus. In the next year, your primary focus will be Financial Aid and the operational processes that support the student financial experience, ensuring the team has the right systems, processes, and reporting in place to run smoothly. Over time, this role may expand to other operational areas as Campus grows. Reporting to the COO, you'll work closely with Financial Aid leaders and cross-functional partners to optimize day-to-day operations, solve bottlenecks, and design scalable processes that improve both the student and staff experience. This is not a “keep the lights on” role. We’re looking for a builder — someone who can dig into workflows, spot inefficiencies, and create technology-enabled solutions that raise the bar. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… - Partner with Financial Aid leaders and key stakeholders to keep critical student-facing operations running smoothly. - Serve as a strategic advisor to the COO on operational risks, opportunities, and resource planning. - Support critical processes such as aid applications, disbursements, billing, refunds, and payment plans — ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. - Improve workflows and design scalable processes that increase efficiency and quality. - Create and maintain SOPs that keep cross-functional teams (Admissions, Registrar, Student Success, Financial Aid, Product, etc.) aligned and consistent in how student-facing processes are executed. - Partner with Product/Eng to roll out tech solutions that streamline operations and improve the student experience. - Establish performance metrics and dashboards to monitor progress, identify issues early, and continuously improve service. - Flex into new operational areas over time as Campus continues to scale.
