Location: HWY 403 & Dundas St W, Mississauga About the Role The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing maintenance operations within a Distribution Centre and to ensure that safety, sanitation, and reliability standards are achieved. Reporting to the Site Director, this hands-on role will perform and oversee the technical tasks related to the engineering, installation, maintenance, and sanitation of production equipment, infrastructure, and facilities. What you will be doing: Develop plans for and perform preventative maintenance of equipment, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security, and other assets in the distribution center Manage vendors and lead a team of supervisors and maintenance technicians to troubleshoot maintenance issues and repair or replace of assets as required Source and manage MRO spare parts, consumables, tools, and other related maintenance equipment needed to ensure assets are in good working order Coordinate with Project Managers and site stakeholders to plan, install, commission, and maintain production equipment in the distribution center Manage all CMMS/G-sheet preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all activities are up to date and are completed on time in line with safety, quality, and compliance standards Manage contractors and suppliers; define scope of work, oversee tasks, and ensure completion of deliverables Promptly communicate all safety related issues and concerns Develop, manage, and monitor the maintenance department budget, including labor, MRO inventory, contractor costs, and capital expenditures; ensure cost control and financial accountability Support equipment and facilities upgrades required to improve safety, quality and productivity Responsible for maintenance metrics, including but not limited to: equipment downtime, PM completion % Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to HelloFresh’s safety policies, wearing personal protective equipment (ppe) and clothing as required, and promptly reporting any workplace hazards to First Aid and Supervisors Ensure team compliance with all safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements related to maintenance activities Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer. Other duties as assigned At a minimum, you have: 5+ years of facilities management experience Electrical, mechanical, and maintenance-related certifications Knowledge of trades related to site facilities, repair and overhaul Knowledge of facilities maintenance processes, procedures, and systems Knowledge of occupational of OHS and Food Safety and its application in a warehouse and production environment Energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude.
