Editorial Operations Lead

S'more about the team The Editorial Operations Lead will be the operational centre point between editorial, culinary, production, translation and campaign-related teams to ensure recipe cards and associated materials move accurately and efficiently through the production pipeline each week for HelloFresh and Chefs Plate. Reporting to the Manager, Product Operations, you will bridge the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring our Product teams operate at peak efficiency. You will lead Editorial operational excellence and scalability, enabling the organization to innovate at speed while maintaining high standards for customer-facing digital and print content. Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for Cross-Functional Leadership: Proactively manage and deepen relationships with key stakeholders (HelloConnect, Culinary, etc.) to streamline the uploading, activating, and auditing of weekly recipe and menu content. Scalable Quality Control: Oversee the end-to-end editorial lifecycle of recipe and menu content, ensuring accuracy, FSQA compliance, and brand consistency across digital and print channels while evolving editorial standards, style guides, and scalable quality processes to support customer-centric and cross-market content delivery, including French workflows. Program Management: Partner with Product Operations and local data teams to support workflow automation and tooling adoption across Editorial processes, ensuring solutions integrate effectively into operational workflows and improve production efficiency. Operational Excellence: Act as a Canadian Superuser and subject matter expert for internal recipe/menu content systems, providing technical guidance and leading local operational updates while integrating tech enhancements into internal workflows. Team Leadership: Lead and scale a hybrid team of in-house editors and freelance resources, balancing delivery against high-stakes deadlines while fostering a metrics-driven culture through coaching, technical training, and oversight of recruitment, onboarding, resource administration, and freelance budget management. Here's what we're looking for Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, Business Operations, or a related field. 3–5+ years of experience in product operations, program management, content operations, or a similar fast-paced operational role 3+ years of people leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading and supporting high-performing teams. Experience working with editorial, creative, content, or customer-facing production workflows is preferred. Technical Rigor: Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets is a must. You should be comfortable manipulating large datasets to drive operational decisions. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to manage complex cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders. Proactivity & Initiative: A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and proactively seek out process improvements. Precision: An unwavering eye for detail and the organizational skills required to manage multiple high-stakes deadlines simultaneously.
