What We Do While Mapbox is a household name among global developers and tech enterprises, we are aggressively expanding our footprint across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Historically managed by our global team, we are now building our dedicated, in-region talent function to fuel our next phase of localized growth. WHAT YOU'LL DO As our very first in-region Talent Acquisition professional in APAC, you will sit at the intersection of recruitment execution, business strategy, and employer brand building. Reporting directly to the Senior HRBP of APAC, you will transition our regional hiring from a cross-border function into a highly integrated, strategic talent engine. This is a unique role that balances hands-on full-cycle recruiting with high-impact talent program design. - Full-Cycle Recruitment: Own and drive end-to-end sourcing and recruitment for all openings across APAC, spanning Go-To-Market (GTM), Technical, and General & Administrative (G&A) functions. Primary immediate focus is on Japan and Korea, with future expansion into Singapore, Australia, and China. - Vendor & Agency Management: Act as the primary regional point of contact for external recruitment agencies and search vendors, ensuring alignment on quality, cost-efficiency, and candidate experience. - Employer Branding & Market Presence: Design and execute a scalable, creative employer branding strategy to build Mapbox's presence in APAC. You will customize global branding for local markets, utilizing regional recruitment media, PR channels, and localized employee storytelling to showcase our culture. - Referral Program Innovation: Establish a robust internal referral culture across APAC. You will design and implement the mechanisms, incentives, and cultural frameworks necessary to empower every regional employee to act as an active talent scout. - Cross-Border Collaboration: Work closely with international talent teams and stakeholders across global time zones, ensuring localized hiring strategies align seamlessly with Mapbox’s global goals. Fluency in Korean is a plus. - 5+ years of relevant recruiting experience. We are looking for a builder.
