THE TEAM AND YOUR ROLE As a billing specialist/ Experte Patientenabrechnung (all genders) in healthcare, you are a key expert at Avelios and contribute your knowledge from hospital billing directly to our product and customer processes. With your experience in billing, coding, or process management in hospitals, you understand the workflows and challenges of everyday clinical work. You use this knowledge to further develop our software solutions together with our Medical Team and the product managers – especially the billing module, which simplifies processes and significantly eases daily work in hospitals. At the same time, you are a reliable point of contact for our customers and project teams when it comes to billing topics, process questions, or the implementation of regulatory requirements. You support the introduction of our solutions, accompany projects from a professional perspective, and help ensure that our customers can optimally design their billing processes. With your expertise, you help us bridge the gap between clinical practice and the digital product world – actively shaping how hospital billing will work in the future. YOUR TASKS - Analysis of clinical billing processes and translation into clear requirements and rules for our billing module - Professional design, expansion, and quality assurance of content, validation logic, workflows, and texts - Monitoring of legal and regulatory requirements and derivation of resulting changes - Close collaboration with the Medical Team and product management as a professional source for decisions - Professional support for projects in the initiation phase: requirements analysis, development of suitable solution approaches, professional demos, and contributions to service descriptions/scoping - Professional support during implementation and operation for customers: process analysis, parameterization/customizing, and practical execution - Training and enablement for users on billing, coding, and best practices - KPI and error pattern analysis in operations, derivation of concrete improvements, and coordination as a professional escalation point YOUR QUALIFICATIONS - Completed studies or vocational training in health economics, healthcare management, business administration, public health, or a medical or nursing qualification with experience in hospital billing - In-depth understanding of billing logic and processes in inpatient and outpatient service areas, along with confident handling of common billing systems in healthcare - Experience in translating professional requirements into clear specifications and in professional quality assurance - Strong communication and teamwork skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration - Enjoyment of customer- and project-oriented work (workshops, process analysis, trainings) - Structured, analytical, and conceptual way of working - Very good German and good English skills YOUR BENEFITS - Variety in your tasks and the opportunity to take ownership - An international, informal team structure in a motivating start-up atmosphere, allowing you to participate directly in our customer growth story and the overall success of Avelios - Ability to gain valuable hands-on experience in a startup backed by leading international VCs - Support for your personal development through continuous learning and feedback - Set your own rhythm with flexible worki
