Description: project44 is looking for a Sr Manager, Engineering to join our engineering team. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment designing, building, and implementing best-in-class integrations to accelerate how project44 connects to the world’s logistics networks. Key accountabilities: What you'll work on Lead & Build High-Impact Teams Hire, mentor, and grow a team of Platform, DevOps, and SRE engineers Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement Set clear goals aligned with business and engineering priorities Own Platform Reliability & Scalability Drive uptime, performance, and resilience of distributed systems Define and enforce SLIs/SLOs/SLAs Lead incident management, postmortems, and reliability improvements Architect & Scale Infrastructure Design cloud-native, scalable infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) Champion Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) Optimize cost, performance, and security at scale Enable Developer Velocity Build and improve CI/CD pipelines Create self-service platforms for engineering teams Reduce friction in development, testing, and deployment workflows Drive Observability & Automation Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) Automate operational tasks and eliminate toil Improve system visibility and debugging capabilities Champion Security & Compliance Integrate security best practices into infrastructure and pipelines Partner with security teams on compliance initiatives What We’re Looking For Experience 10+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles 3+ years in engineering leadership/management Experience operating large-scale, distributed systems in production Technical Depth Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Deep understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.) Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code Solid understanding of networking, security, and system design AI-Driven Mindset Experience leveraging AI/ML to enhance platform reliability, automate operations, and improve developer productivity o Ability to identify and implement practical AI use cases (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive scaling, intelligent alerting, incident analysis, code automation) o Strong curiosity for emerging A
