This is the role We are looking for a Hardware Manager to lead our R&D Hardware team in Salo. You will have overall responsibility for the hardware development of Evondos medication dispensers — covering both mechanics and electronics. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be expected to be close to the work, close to the team, and close to the technical decisions — while also keeping an eye on the bigger picture. The right person combines genuine hardware expertise with the ability to lead, coach, and build a high-performing team. What you will spend your time on Leading the hardware team across mechanics and electronics development Leading collaboration with external partners on hardware development Driving new product development and continuous product improvements Ensuring hardware procedures and documentation meet relevant regulatory standards and requirements Setting clear targets, following up on performance, and keeping quality metrics visible Coaching team members, developing competence, and creating an environment where people do their best work Allocating hardware resources across R&D projects Driving modern development practices and tools across the team Collaborating closely with internal teams such as; software, production, sourcing, quality, and product management Why you will enjoy it The hardware team at Evondos is building products that end up in people's homes and directly affect their health and safety. We work in a hybrid model, and we would expect the new manager to be in Salo for a good part of the working week. Beyond the experience, we are looking for someone who: Leads with clarity — sets direction, follows through, and keeps the team moving Has strong electromechanical expertise and a solid understanding of hardware tools and test methods Has a relevant degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a similar field Understands relevant regulatory standards, or has worked in similarly regulated environments Communicates well across functions — with engineers, project managers, and leadership alike Coaches rather than just directs — builds people up and creates a team others want to be part of Brings a can-do attitude and promotes an open, safe working culture Fluent English is required.
